We were going to add support for Arma Reforger tomorrow, but we won't. And we wouldn't be writing this post if it wasn't important to know!
It seems that the game developers made a mistake and instead of the server name they give the server monitors and browsers "dedicatedServerId", which would be better to keep a secret.
In the game Arma Reforger the developers have for the first time introduced a new convenient mechanism - the ability to assign a "dedicatedServerId" to your server. This identifier allows the owners of the server to personalize it as an object that depends neither on the IP address nor on the port. If you need to change the server hosting provider, you don't have to worry that players who visited the server before or added it to "Favorites" will suddenly lose sight of the server. Registering your "dedicatedServerId" on the new host, the owner can be sure that visitors will not even notice that their favorite server has moved to a new host. It will be displayed in their "Favorites" and "Recently Run" sections as if nothing had happened. Unfortunately, there is a threat of losing these players in a completely different way.
It turns out that there is a simple way to easily find out the unique "dedicatedServerId" of any server, if only one condition is met.
If the owner of the dedicated server in his startup line will write the parameter "a2sPort" and specify the desired port, for example 17777, with the help of the Steam server browser or monitoring game servers, attackers will be able to find out the unique "dedicatedServerId", as it appears directly in the server name field! Any port used by the server owner is easy to find out with the help of specialized programs!
